Date: November 10, 2010. Venue: Lecture Room B-217 Timing: 2 pm onwards Meeting Outline The following issues were discussed in the meeting: The PLS blog has been created. Any further notices shall be posted via the blog. Also the blog shall serve as a forum for members to discuss issues, post suggestions, finalise events and make announcements. All PLS members are advised to fill out the forms available on the blog and submit their details as soon as possible so that their details may be stored in PLS Database. New PLS members selected through PLS Inductions 2010 were also announced. Few inductees have been added to the volunteer list. Their performance shall be assessed in the first upcoming event and their membership status shall be decided on their evaluation. All Rounder Rules               1.       Each team will consist of two members for All-Rounder competition. 2.         Twelve Teams shall be selected to participate in All-Rounder. In case that the number of teams exceeds 12, then a preliminary written test shall be held to select the first 12 teams with the highest scores. 3.   The competition will consist of five rounds described as follows: - ·          Quiz ·          Bait Bazi ·          Do!T ·          Kasauti ·          Extempore Speech 1.   2.   3.   3.1. Quiz     It will consist of four topics: ·       General knowledge ·       Pakistan studies (1947 to date ) ·       IQ ·       Science §   Eight questions per team will be asked. General Rules of PLS

General Rules   1. A proper code of conduct will be maintained during the meetings. Use of foul or abusive language can lead to termination of membership from society.  2. Smoking, taunting and chit-chats are prohibited during meetings.   3. Everyone should respect others and their perspective.   4. Every newly inducted member will work as a Junior member for 1 year. After that, he/she will be promoted to the status of Senior Member.   5. Promotion to the executive council will entirely depend on the performance of the individual. This will be decided by the present hierarchy.   6. Only senior and executive council members are eligible to apply for posts.  7. Only senior members and executive council will vote in the elections.   8. Elections will  be conducted for the posts of “President” , “Vice President” and “General Secretary” .
