General Rules
2. Smoking, taunting and chit-chats are prohibited during meetings.
3. Everyone should respect others and their perspective.
4. Every newly inducted member will work as a Junior member for 1 year. After that, he/she will be promoted to the status of Senior Member.
5. Promotion to the executive council will entirely depend on the performance of the individual. This will be decided by the present hierarchy.
6. Only senior and executive council members are eligible to apply for posts.
7. Only senior members and executive council will vote in the elections.
8. Elections will be conducted for the posts of “President”, “Vice President” and “General Secretary” . In case of any vacancy of post, the President with the consultation of the advisor will select the candidate. The Treasurer will be selected by the Elected posts.
9. The vote of the previous council will be counted as 2 (All the 4 posts) and all other senior members will be counted as one. In case of any ex- council members competing in the elections, his vote will not be counted as 2.
10. An Official of any other Society is not eligible for any post in PLS.
11. Posts of ‘Information Divison’, ‘Head Literature’, ‘Head Arts’ and ‘Head Pi-Reactivx’ will be appointed by the President, Vice President, General Secretary and Treasurer.
12. If a member on a post is not performing his/her duties well enough, the executive council, with the consent of the Advisor; will have the right to question him/her anytime. This can also result in the disqualification of any elected post.
14. A record of the performance of each and every member will be kept . If a member would not attend 2 consecutive meetings, his/her membership will be suspended.
15. Innovative ideas and suggestions will always be welcomed.
